From the Dean
For more than 65 years now, our College of Engineering has provided a life-changing academic experience for more than 16,000 alumni. In fact, it is very exciting to see undergraduate and graduate students arrive at the college in pursuit of their dreams. In response, hundreds of deeply dedicated staff and faculty members welcome them into the College of Engineering community and make every effort to help them realize their potential.
For those of us involved in the process, it is particularly gratifying to witness the students’ drive to excel and resulting transformation. College donors are an integral part of this educational process and play a crucial role in launching successful student careers.
Donor support impacts many areas, including student scholarships, groundbreaking research, innovative courses, state-of-the-art facilities, and academic support programs. In recent years, our research expenditures have increased significantly, our freshman enrollment has jumped by more than 50 percent, our incoming SAT scores have soared, and our undergraduates as a cohort continued to earn the highest average GPA on campus.
So much of this excellence is made possible by individuals such as you, who have chosen to invest in the future of our students and make College of Engineering what it is today. Thank you so much for your engagement, loyalty, and support.
Dr. Tim Anderson
Dean, College of Engineering
